This is great!! There is definitely character building times involved with deployments for all spouses. Which is why we become an immediate family wherever we go. I will never have friends like those I found in the military. We have many obstacles to overcome from deployment disasters to career challenges to friendships found and lost. You are all super hero's and I am proud to be a Seasoned Spouse.

Oh my goodness, that is horrible! I can barely imagine going through all that! But you're right, it seems like that is always how it goes. And somehow we always figure it out and pull through!
Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your story!

Oh my goodness!! This brings back fond memories of the time my husband was traveling with George HW Bush while he was campaigning for a second term. The day he left my son developed a weird rash and his feet had swollen so badly he couldn't stand. After much ado at the ER at Andrews AFB, he was diagnosed with HSP, an allergic reaction/interaction between a cold virus and the cold medicine I had given him. They were concerned about it affecting his intestines so, you guessed it....I had to take his poop samples to the lab. Every. Day. When my husband came home several weeks later, he had recovered completely. Less than a week later, my husband left again and would you believe it?? It happened all over again!!! When I told my husband he was sick again, he thought I was making it up.
