Also I can’t drive, do I still need some kind of ID or permission slip to enter the base even though the Service member will always be accompanying me during my stay?

Guests are not allowed to stay in the barracks, that’s for service members only. Guests are allowed in base housing if they’re visiting a service member who lives in base housing, but it doesn’t sound like that’s the case here.
Often, there’s a hotel on base, and that might be your best option. Service member has to make the reservation at the Inn or Lodge. Ask if that is available on the base you’re trying to visit.

I was thinking about visiting a family member who lives in the barracks for about a week. Is there any kind of process for me to go through to be able to get permission to stay the week with them in the military housing instead of staying in a hotel off base?

I stay in the UK and recently met a military guy who live in the base.
Recently I stopped hearing from him, he won’t take calls or reply messages, am really worried cos the other time he was kinda feeling depressed and down. So I want to go visit their base, but I don’t know if I would be permitted in as am not a UK citizen. But in one occasion he drove me to go pick something there but I only stayed in the car.
I don’t know how to go about this… maybe you can help me with some tips am really worried.

Then, contact the base Pass and ID center, and also reach out to the USO or Family Center, and they may be able to help you set this up.

Yes, delivery services like tow trucks, furniture or appliance delivery, moving trucks, etc can be allowed on base without a pass, but the service member must meet them at the gate and escort them. The service member is responsible for them the entire time they are on base.

if someone at the base require a tow service what documents need the tow technician to access? as far as I know the person who require the service need to be at the front gate to scort the technician to the vehicle
